SummaryPurpleFox is an exploit kit known to chain vulnerabilities in order to infect systems. Recently, the use of the exploit kit against Indonesian top-level domains was detected, with an upgrade that leverages a WPAD abuse attack. This is a technique that has been around for years but is still relevant today. Our Threat Research team gathers and analyzes information from multiple open and closed sources before disseminating intelligence reports.
