Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x Microsoft Windows Summary
Various product policies affect the messages displayed to end users when a threat is detected on an endpoint. These policies can provide custom messaging or disable the alerts altogether. But, none of these settings affect the Windows Toast notifications. This behavior is working as designed. Customers who want this functionality added should submit a product idea. To submit a new product idea, go to the Enterprise Customer Product Ideas page.
Click Sign In and enter your ServicePortal User ID and password. If you do not yet have a ServicePortal or Community account, click Register to register for a new account on either website. For more information about product ideas, see KB60021 - How to submit a Product Idea. Workaround
While not recommended, it’s possible to prevent user-mode interactions on the system by disabling the McAfee tray icon from being displayed. ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) administrators can disable the option Show the McAfee system tray icon (Windows only) in the McAfee Agent, General policy. This change can have various unintended consequences that you should consider before making any policy changes. For a list of issues, see: KB83532 - Some product functions don't work in remote sessions without the McAfee icon.
