PKCS 12 is incorrectly listed as a supported format for custom browser certificates

Environment

McAfe ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10 Cumulative Updates 1–8
McAfe ePolicy Orchestrator 5.9.x

Problem

The Server Certificate page incorrectly lists PKCS 12 (.p12) as a supported certificate import format.

The above is seen with the ePO versions listed below:

ePO 5.10 Update 8 and earlier
ePO 5.9.x

PKCS 12 was never supported or functional. Any attempt to use '.p12' certificate files to replace the ePO console's browser certificate fails.

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePO 5.10.0 Update 9, which is available from the Product Downloads site.

IMPORTANT: ePO 5.10 Update 9 does not add support for PKCS 12. But, rather modifies the Server Certificate page to accurately list the supported formats:

PKCS7
PEM encoded
DER encoded file with extension like .cer, .crt, .p7b.
