Problem
You install a DAS120 using the built-in RAID card. The physical disks are detected but the virtual disks are not. As a result, the DAS disk is not mounted or formatted. When troubleshooting in the RAID BIOS, the DAS disks are shown (all 24 and 2 hot spares) as having foreign configurations. But there is no option to import them. Solution
SIEM has an onboard RAID card that can usually address both internal disks and external storage without issue. The DAS contains its own RAID card, which does not usually need to be installed. If the DAS virtual disk is not found or mounted, you might need to install the DAS RAID card into the ESM, and cable it to DAS as follows:
