Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.0 Update 5 and later

Problem

You're unable to access the Security Resources page from the ePO console.

When you try to access the page, the following error is displayed:

Unable to load feeds.
The feeds are inaccessible, possibly due to firewall rules. Please correct the issue if possible and refresh this page.

The problem is seen in an environment where ePO is configured to use a Proxy (Server Settings, Proxy Settings).

Cause

The Contentfeed extension is responsible for loading the Security Resources page. The extension can fail to correctly send user authorization information to a configured proxy. As a result, the proxy or network device rejects the request from the ePO server.

Solution

Technical Support is investigating this issue. As a temporary measure, implement the following workaround.

Workaround

Disable the user authentication requirement in your web gateway, proxy, or similar network device.
