Unable to log on to the ePO Console (Tomcat port conflict)

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.x, 5.9.x

Problem

You're unable to log on to the ePO console.

A custom port 9443 has been configured.

The STDERR.log file records the following errors:

Cause

The port is bound to another application.

Solution

Use the netstat command to identify what process is using the same port.

Open a command prompt as an administrator.
Create a text file named ports.txt with the netstat command:

netstat -anb > c:\ports.txt
Open the text file using the following command:

C:\ports.txt

Example of the output contained in ports.txt

TCP 0.0.0.0:9443 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING [CMServer.exe]
