Summary
- Open a command-line session to the Linux-based Manager Appliance.
- Reboot the appliance:
Type reboot and press Enter.
- Press F2 while the Linux-based Manager Appliance boots.
You see the BIOS Settings page open.
- Navigate to Server Management and press Enter.
- Highlight Plug & Play BMC Detection and press Enter.
- Select Enabled and press Enter.
- Navigate to Console Redirection and Enable SOL for Baseboard Management for Management and Management NIC.
- Navigate to BMC LAN Configuration, Dedicated Management LAN Configuration.
- Configure the options and fields as follows:
- For IP Source:
Select Static and press Enter.
- For IP address:
Enter the IP address for the BMC Web Console interface of the Linux-based Manager Appliance and press Enter.
- For Subnet Mask:
Enter the subnet mask for the Web Console interface of the Linux-based Manager Appliance and press Enter.
- For Gateway IP:
Enter the Gateway IP address for the Web Console interface of the Linux-based Manager Appliance and press Enter.
- Navigate to User configuration and configure the settings:
- Highlight User status, press Enter, and then select Enabled.
- Highlight User password, press Enter, and then enter the root account password.
- Press Enter, confirm the password, and then press Enter again.
