Starting with Trellix IPS 10.1, you must register your Manager to receive automatic updates. These updates include real-time updates for signature sets, callback detectors, and device software.
To register your Manager with us, perform the steps below:
- Log on to the Product Downloads site.
- Obtain the registration key from the top of the Product Downloads page.
NOTE: If you don't see the registration key, contact Technical Support.
- Open the Manager and register the product using the registration key:
- Log on to the Manager. The End-User License Agreement displays.
- To accept the agreement, select the checkbox and then click Activate. The Product Registration dialog window displays.
NOTE: The Lost Key section of the Product Registration dialog window provides information about how to obtain the product registration key. Read this section if you don't have the key available.
We recommend that you perform product registration immediately after installation, when the Product Registration page displays after initial logon.
If you skip the product registration, the following functions are disabled:
- Download Signature Sets
- Download Callback Detectors
- Download Device Software
- Signature Set Automatic Updating
- Callback Detector Automatic Updating
- GAM Automatic Updating
If you skip Product Registration during initial installation or upgrade, you can register the product at any time from the Manager.
NOTE: Product registration is applicable only to IPS 10.1 and later.
- If you are a registered user, type your User ID and Password, and then click Log In.
- If you are not a registered user, click Register and complete the fields to have your password and instructions emailed to you.
