Threat Intelligence Exchange (TIE) 3.0 and later

Summary

With the release of TIE 3.0, the Linux Operating System agent is now installed as part of the TIE 3.0 installation package.

NOTE: The Linux Operating System agent standalone package will be available on the Product Downloads site after the new TIE, Active Response, and Data Exchange Layer (DXL) bundle is released.

The following is included in the TIE 3.0 package:

TIE 3.0 (Build: 3.0.480)
Linux Operating System agent 5.6.1 (Build 5.6.1.157)
DXL Client 5.0.1 (Build 5.0.1.157)

Problem

If the Linux Operating System agent is automatically upgraded when you install TIE 3.0 or later, you observe the following:

The McAfee Agent upgrade is delayed until 12.00 AM of the following day.

Solution

This behavior is expected.

NOTE: Only the Linux Operating System agent install is delayed. The DXL Client and TIE 3.0 are installed together with no delay.
