Problem
The McAfee Agent Status Monitor does not log activity that takes place within five minutes of a system startup. NOTE: McAfee Agent Status Monitor is accessible by right-clicking the McAfee Agent icon in the notification area. System Change
You installed or upgraded to McAfee Agent 5.6.x.
CauseThe cause is a new MA 5.6.x feature, which is part of an initiative to reduce file input/output (I/O) operations on boot. The McAfee Agent Status Monitor was modified to no longer log activity during the first five minutes.
This feature is a cosmetic change only. The Agent continues to function as expected, and to log all activities in its respective service logs.
