We previously announced the End of Sale for Network Security Platform
NS9100, NS9200, and NS9300 Sensor appliances on August 15, 2019, with End of Sale effective October 14, 2019. The original End of Life date was September 30, 2024.
An exception was made for US Federal customers. The updated End of Sale and End of Life or US Federal customers is as follows:
- End of Sale: July 13, 2020
- End of Life: June 30, 2025
We have now extended the End of Life date for
NS9100, NS9200, and
NS9300 Sensor appliances for all customers to
June 30, 2025.
Existing Sensor appliance customers receive support until the End of Life date, in accordance with our End of Life Policy.
These appliances have been replaced with Network Security Platform NS9500 series Sensor appliances as follows:
- NS-9100 is replaced by NS9500-10
- NS-9200 is replaced by NS9500-20
- NS-9300 is replaced by NS9500-40
For the NS9500, we decoupled the hardware and software licenses to help future-proof hardware upgrades by supporting throughput-based entitlements. The above mapping is platform to platform, rather than SKU to SKU.
- EOL period—The time frame that runs from the day we announce product discontinuation, until the last date that we formally support the product. In general, after the EOL period is announced, no enhancements are made.
- EOL date—The last day that the product is supported, according to the terms of our standard support offering.
