Endpoint Security for Mac (ENSM) 10.x Apple macOS Mojave 10.14.5 and later Summary
Apple requires all new and updated kernel extensions to be notarized starting with the release of macOS 10.14.5. Notarization is intended to give users more confidence that Apple has checked the software for malicious components.
Problem
Kernel extensions without notarization are not allowed to load on macOS 10.14.5 and later. Starting with macOS 10.14.5, our product software for macOS must be notarized to ensure continued functionality.
Solution
See the following table for information about compatibility and notarization status of ENSM:
1 These versions do not need notarization because it is mandated only for new and updated kernel extensions signed after April 7, 2019. But, when you install ENSM versions earlier than 10.6.2 on macOS 10.14.5 and later, you might encounter the following pop-up message, which you can ignore: A program tried to load one or more system extensions that are incompatible with this version of macOS. Please contact "McAfee, Inc." for support. 2 The following kernel extensions have been notarized in ENSM 10.6.2 and later:
