- To determine whether the issue is related to exclusions, follow the steps mentioned in KB89354 - Troubleshoot high CPU use by the real-time antimalware scanner.
- Enable debug logging and capture data while the issue is occurring.
- If the high resource consumption can be improved by disabling the on-access scanner, collect the on-access scanner activity monitor log during the high resource consumption.
