There are two options of ePO deployment—on-premises and Cloud-based:
- On-premises ePO - For organizations who need, or prefer, to have infrastructure and data under their full control in their own data centers
- Cloud-based ePO options - For organizations who want to minimize or remove infrastructure requirements and efforts
Also, there are two Cloud options:
- ePO - SaaS
This is a Software as a Service (SaaS)-based model with no infrastructure requirements and continuous updates, so you have the latest ePO. You need to simply log on from your browser and focus exclusively on security. This choice gives you a dramatically simpler approach to security management. You can be up in minutes because you can simply provision with your logon credentials from a browser. The interfaces with simpler workflows and a new dashboard make the user experience more productive.
- ePO on AWS
This is an Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) model. It has a quick and easy setup, as you simply need to bring your own license. Existing customers can bring their licenses to move up to ePO 5.10 on AWS. Customers can manage a range of defenses. Moving to ePO on AWS allows you to streamline your operational effort with many services. Automatic scaling scales as your environment grows. No database administration is required since it's built into the AWS relational database. Disaster recovery becomes simpler, where you can easily spin up ePO and its database. ePO on AWS includes the exceptional customer experience improvements with simple workflows and a new dashboard.
