ePO requires a significant amount of free disk space on the drive that hosts the ePO install folder. This article explains the space requirements of ePO. To successfully complete an upgrade, sometimes, you must free up disk space. If the Pre-installation auditor tool indicates inadequate disk space, this article gives you two possible solutions to resolve it.
Make sure that the ePO server has enough hard disk space for the upgrade:
- System temp drive - Requires 2 GB or more of free disk space
- ePO installation drive - Could require up to three times the size of the McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator folder or 20 GB, whichever is greater
NOTES:
- If the ePO server is installed on the same drive as the system temp folder, and the ePO installation folder is 15 GB in size, the hard drive space in the C drive must be more than 45 GB. This space is needed to account for the system temp folder. Thus, the amount of free space needed is (15 GB X 3) + 2 GB = 47 GB.
- When the ePO installation folder space is 2 GB, the minimum free disk space must be 20 GB + 2 GB = 22 GB.
