Environment

Threat Intelligence Exchange Server (TIE Server) 2.3.0

Problem

When you complete the information about the Server Deployment page to deploy a new TIE server, the sections ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) Credentials, New Server Credentials, and New Server Network don't accept certain types of characters.

Cause

The vCenter console does not support double-byte characters during the TIE Server installation. You can't use double-byte characters in the username or password for ePO.

NOTE: RFC 1035 restricts the use of some of those characters in domain definitions.

Solution

Implement one of the following actions:

Create a new dedicated account with administrator rights only for deployment purposes.
Or
Update your ePO password using only supported characters.

The supported characters for these fields are as follows:
