Environment

Endpoint Security (ENS) Firewall Extension 10.6.0
ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.x

Problem

The ePO administrator receives the following error when aggregating or filtering adaptive rules from the Firewall Client Rules menu in the ENS Firewall extension in ePO:

User is not authorized to perform this action

The issue is uncommon and occurs only in rare situations in an ePO environment.

Here’s an example of the sequence of events that triggers the issue:

View the Firewall Client Rules in the ePO console.
Use the Aggregate option on the firewall client rules.
Click any of the aggregated client rule entries. The error occurs.

Solution

This issue is resolved in Endpoint Security 10.6.1, which is available from the Product Downloads site.

Updates are cumulative; Technical Support recommends that you install the latest one.
