Drive Encryption (DE) 7.1.3 to 7.2.2

Micron MTFDDAK256MAM-1K12

Problem

System fails to boot during startup, after disabling protection to deactivate DE.

The following error is shown during the system restart:

No bootable device found

The problem is seen on systems fitted with a Micron MTFDDAK256MAM-1K12 Opal drive.

Systems that have been deactivated but have not been restarted shows the status as Deactivation is in progress for a long period, with the drive remaining in an encrypted state.

Cause

This problem is caused by a specific issue that's linked to the Opal drive firmware implementation with a Micron-specific drive.

Solution

This issue is resolved with DE 7.2.4 (build 7.2.4.2), which is available on the Product Downloads site.
