The system fails to boot after successfully installing DE and multiple system restarts. One of the following errors is shown during the preboot authentication stage: OR Fatal Error: [0xEE120003] Reading timezone bias. Investigations have shown that this is often the result of a failing hard-disk (HDD) at the sector level.
Solution
Recovery may be possible after performing an Emergency Boot, but this could be an indicator that the HDD is deteriorating. To avoid the risk of losing data, customers are advised to create a DE disaster recovery media to move any critical data from the HDD to an external or network storage media.
