EEADMIN - Error creating bean with name 'EEADMIN.command.registration' (displayed at the ePolicy Orchestrator login screen)

Environment

Drive Encryption (DE) - all supported versions

Problem

The following error is displayed at the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) login screen:

EEADMIN - Error creating bean with name 'EEADMIN.command.registration': Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'EEADMIN.UserDatabaseManager' defined in URL [jndi:/localhost/EEADMIN_1000/WEB-INF/beans.xml]: Error setting property values; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.NotWritablePropertyException: Invalid property 'debugLog' of bean class [com.mcafee.epe.dao.UserDatabaseManager]: Bean property 'debugLog' is not writable or has an invalid setter method. Does the parameter type of the setter match the return type of the getter?

After logging in and navigating to the DE-related pages, the administrator identifies that DE details are missing. The Extensions page shows errors for both:

Drive Encryption : Admin
Drive Encryption : PC Software' extensions

Cause

The following directory contains missing or corrupted files: <ePO Installation Directory>\Server\extensions\installed\EEADMIN\<Version>\META-INF\

Solution

Stop the ePO services:
1. Click Start, Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. Right-click each of the following services and select Stop.
  
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Event Parser
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Application Server
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Server
Back up and delete the EEADMIN directory located at <ePO Installation Directory>\Server\extensions\installed\
Copy the EEADMIN directory from another good, working ePO server that has the same EEADMIN extensions checked in to the same location:

ePO Installation Directory>\Server\extensions\installed\
Start the ePO services:
1. Click Start, Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. Right-click each of the following services and select Start.
  
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Event Parser
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Application Server
  McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator x.x.x Server
3. Close the services window.

You can now view the DE properties via the ePO console.
