The following procedure describes the sequence in which the main components load:
- The computer starts (drivers and service load):
- The MNEService.exe starts.
- Depending on the operating system, one of the following occurs:
- On Windows 8.1 and later - The Toast32.exe service is loaded via the MNEService.
- On Windows 8 and earlier - The balloon32.exe service is loaded via the MNEService
- The user logs in and navigates to Control Panel, Change BitLocker Credentials:
- The MNEControlPanelApplet.exe is started.
- If another user is logged in using Switch User, another instance of the toast32.exe or ballon32.exe is loaded for the new user.
