Endpoint Security Threat Prevention scan exclusion for multiple mount points doesn’t work

Environment

Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x

Problem

A scan exclusion configured for multiple mount points doesn’t work. For example, if there are multiple mount points such as \Device\HarddiskVolume59\ExchangeVolumes\ and \Device\HarddiskVolume60\ExchangeVolumes\ that map to C:\ExchangeVolumes\, using the following two types of exclusions doesn’t work:

C:\ExchangeVolumes\
**\ExchangeVolumes\

Solution

If you experience this issue, create a Service Request and include this article number in the Problem Description field. You will be prompted to log on to the ServicePortal.

Workaround

Configure the scan exclusion using the full path for the mount point.
