SGX PSW is a set of drivers and dlls needed to enable support for Intel Software Guard Extensions technology. DE can use SGX to increase the security of its cryptographic code.
SGX PSW is deployed through an MSI that's included with the DE agent deployment package.
The SGX PSW installer doesn't run in the following scenarios:
- The target system doesn't support SGX.
- SGX support is explicitly disabled in the BIOS. To make sure DE uses SGX where available, you must enable support for SGX before you deploy DE 7.2.x to a target system.
To enable DE support for SGX following a deployment where the SGX PSW isn't installed:
- Enable SGX in the BIOS.
- Install SGX PSW through the MSI.
NOTE: For DE, you must install SGX version 1.6 or later.
