Last Modified: 2023-12-12 08:20:22 Etc/GMT EnvironmentSkyhigh Client Proxy (SCP)
Skyhigh Web Gateway (SWG) SummaryThis article describes how SCP checks whether it should redirect traffic to the proxy servers specified in the configuration:
Captive portal check
SCP tries to retrieve the following file to determine whether it's behind a captive portal:
If SCP can retrieve this file, it's not behind a captive portal and SCP redirects traffic to the proxy servers listed in your configuration. If SCP can't retrieve this file, SCP assumes that there's a captive portal in place or the connection fails. If SCP detects a captive portal, it doesn't redirect traffic to the proxy servers listed in your configuration. We recommend that you allow access for SCP to retrieve this file from the Product Download server. Then, SCP can complete the check and properly redirect traffic to the configured proxy servers. NOTE: SCP sends the HTTP get request on the configured proxy port. Cloud proxy is 8080 for on-premises SWG 9090. Affected ProductsLanguages:This article is available in the following languages: |
