Remove the Paused scan message in Endpoint Security

Problem

When a scheduled scan starts and the system is active, a Paused message appears.

Cause

Endpoint Security is designed to scan on-demand only when the system is idle. If an on-demand scan tries to start and the system is being used, the Paused message appears. The scan begins again when the system has been idle for three minutes.

Solution

NOTE: Technical Support recommends that you disable the Scan only when the system is idle feature only on servers or systems that users access using Remote Desktop Connection (RDP).

To disable the Scan only when the system is idle feature, do the following:

Log on to the ePolicy Orchestrator console.
Click Menu, Policy, Policy Catalog.
Select Endpoint Security Threat Prevention from the Product drop-down list.
Click Advanced.
For On-Demand Scan, set Scheduled Scan Options to Scan anytime.
