Environment

Drive Encryption (DE) 7.1.x

Problem

The LDAP Sync:Sync Across Users task in ePO takes an unexpected extended time to complete; normally, the task runs and completes very quickly.

Cause

This can occur when you assign an Active Directory (AD) Group or Organizational Unit containing an excessive number of users to an ePO System Branch. This results in an increased load on the AD server, which makes the LDAP Sync task take longer than expected.

Solution

Use the Add Local Domain Users (ALDU) function to add only the currently signed on user. Also, assign as few users as possible to any ePO System Branch.
