Occasionally, you might report a problem that requires intervention to fix. You can report problems using our product ideas forum, or through a defect assignment:

When to submit a new product idea:

The parser or process is working as designed, but you want to change it. For example, you might want to move the value that's being parsed into field A to field B
To request creation of a new parser for an unsupported data source
For parser addition requests
For version update requests for an existing parser. For example, the product might have a code-based WMI parser and you want to add an ASP-based WMI parser

To submit a new product idea, go to the Enterprise Customer Product Ideas page.

Click Sign In and enter your ServicePortal User ID and password. If you do not yet have a ServicePortal or Community account, click Register to register for a new account on either website.

When to submit a defect:

An engineer confirms that the parser or process isn't working correctly. For example, an erroneous value parsed into the wrong field, such as an IP address being parsed into the source user field.
A parser has to be enhanced. For example, a rule is parsing correctly with an exception. Or, the host name value is in the packet but isn't being parsed into any field.

To submit a defect, contact Technical Support and open a Service Request.

To contact Technical Support, go to the Create a Service Request page and log on to the ServicePortal.

If you are a registered user, type your User ID and Password, and then click Log In.
If you are not a registered user, click Register and complete the fields to have your password and instructions emailed to you.
