What is the purpose of the Product Improvement Program?
We use the data that the Product Improvement Program collects to:

- Provide better performing product features.
- Perform data collection for faster troubleshooting of customer issues.
How does Trellix protect users' privacy?
Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is not collected from any client systems. The data that the Product Improvement Program collects is only used to analyze product usage and unintended behavior in the client environment. The data collected is transferred over a secure channel and the Product Improvement Program server is inside the Trellix internal network.
Does the Product Improvement Program affect performance on client systems?
No. The Product Improvement Program runs on low priority and collects data only once per day, by default.
How much network bandwidth does the Product Improvement Program consume?
The Product Improvement Program consumes a minimal bandwidth (a few kilobytes) of data from each system.
What is the disk space consumed by the Product Improvement Program?
The Product Improvement Program requires a 2 MB installation footprint and 6.2 MB after installation.
What is the memory consumed by the Product Improvement Program?
The Product Improvement Program consumes an average memory of 2 MB.
How do I acquire/enroll in Product Improvement Program?
You can install the Product Improvement Program through ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) and Trellix Agent (formerly McAfee Agent). To enroll, select (or leave selected) the Product Improvement Program option in the ePO Installer/Server-Settings/AgentPolicy.
