Administrators can use the following steps to disable this Windows 8 feature via a logon script:
- From this article, detach disableautorecovery.zip.
- Extract from the above file disableautorecovery.ps1.
- Open Administrative Tools and select Group Policy Management.
- Select the Default Domain Policy (or a suitably customized policy that you're using for your domain computers).
- Right-click and select Edit.
- Click Computer Configuration, Policies, Windows Settings, Scripts (Startup/Shutdown).
- Double-click Start-up and select PowerShell Scripts.
- Click Add and browse to the location where you saved disableautorecovery.ps1. The policy is propagated to your computers within 90–120 minutes, according to the Windows default setting.
