KB73280
Last Modified: 2022-01-04 14:06:54 Etc/GMT EnvironmentEndpoint Security (ENS) Web Control 10.x
Microsoft Internet Explorer ProblemIcons that reside on a user's desktop can be dragged next to the Windows Start menu to pin the icon. If a pinned icon opens a web browser, ENS Web Control doesn't load.
Solution
This behavior is expected. Microsoft doesn't support Internet Explorer loading browser helper objects when you start a browser from a pinned icon. Because ENS Web Control is a browser helper object, the browser doesn't load it.
Workaround
Use Microsoft Edge, which supports loading extensions when you open a browser from a pinned icon. ENS Web Control 10.6.1 adds support for Microsoft Edge.
