All members of a Central Management cluster in SWG share the same policy, without any exceptions. But, it's possible to add specific criteria to rules to allow the rule engine to identify the appliance that's handling a request. This option makes it possible to apply certain features only to specific appliances or locations. The following three properties can help with this effort:
- Proxy.IP - The IP address of the proxy used for a particular request
- System.HostName - The host name of the appliance. You can configure this property for each appliance under Configuration, Appliances, <appliance name>, Network, Hostname.
- System.UUID - The Universally Unique Identifier (UUID) is a value that can help identify the hardware of the appliance. This value is unique on every SWG appliance.
