No scan for USB devices on insertion

Endpoint Security (ENS) Threat Prevention 10.x

Problem

ENS Threat Prevention doesn’t scan USB (Universal Serial Bus) devices on insertion.

Solution

This behavior is expected. By default, the on-access scanner scans USB devices only when the files on the devices are accessed.

NOTE: If the USB device contains Autorun or Autoplay files that perform an action when the device is mounted, the on-access scanner detects this action and a scan is triggered. An example of an action is a read/write to the local system.
