CAUTION: This article contains information about opening or modifying the registry.
- The following information is intended for System Administrators. Registry modifications are irreversible and could cause system failure if done incorrectly.
- Before proceeding, Technical Support strongly recommends that you back up your registry and understand the restore process. For more information, see the Microsoft Windows registry information for advanced users article.
- Do not run a REG file that is not confirmed to be a genuine registry import file.
- Press Windows+R, type regedit, and click OK.
- Navigate to one of the following registry keys:

- Highlight the text in the Value data field, right-click, and select Copy.

- Press Windows+R, type Run, paste the contents copied from step 5 into the Open field, and then click OK.
The product now uninstalls.
NOTE: You can use the
Uninstall Command value within batch files to automate the software removal process across many endpoints, if needed.
IMPORTANT: You must remove the managed Trellix Agent last. Remove it after all other managed products. If needed, use the
frminst.exe /forceuninstall command to forcefully remove the Trellix Agent from an endpoint, managed or not. For more information, see
KB65863 - How to manually remove Trellix Agent 5.x.
