Opening SQL Server Management Studio (SQL 2012 or later)
IMPORTANT: This information is intended for database (DBA) and ePO administrators only.
- Click Start, Programs, Microsoft SQL Server 20xx, SQL Server Management Studio.

On the Connect to Server menu, expand the drop-down arrow for 'SQL Server' and select the SQL Server name.
NOTE: If the SQL Server name isn’t in the drop-down list, you can browse for the server.

Under the 'Connect using' section, select the needed authentication mode:

Type the logon and Password information for the account specified and click Connect.

Expand Databases.

Right-click on the ePO server and select New Query.

Type or paste the needed SQL command into the query pane.
Example:
Select ThreatEventID As "Event ID",Count(ThreatEventID) From dbo.EPOEvents Group By ThreatEventID Order By ThreatEventID
NOTE: This command isn’t case sensitive in SQL Server Management Studio.

Above the toolbar, click the Query menu item.
- Click Results To, Results to File.

Click Execute on the toolbar or press F5.

From the Save Results menu:

Choose a location, and save the file.

Type a file name in the File Name field with a .txt extension (example: events.txt).

Click the drop-down arrow for the Save as type field.

From the drop-down list, select All Files (*.*).

Click Save.
