When an attempt is made to initialize a FAT32-formatted removable media using a FRP 5.4.4 client for macOS 14.x, the initialization gets stuck at 80–95% and never completes.
Cause
The cause is under investigation.
SolutionThis issue is being evaluated by Engineering for consideration in a future release of the product.
As a temporary measure, implement one of the following workarounds. Workaround 1
Use Workaround 2
Initialize the device on FRP Windows 5.4.4 or later and use it on macOS 14.x.
Workaround 3
If neither of the workarounds are an option, perform the following workaround steps before attempting initialization: NOTE: You'll require sudo access for the steps below.
