Point Product build version displays an incorrect value in ePolicy Orchestrator

Environment

Trellix Agent (TA) 5.7.7
McAfee Agent (MA) 5.7.6 and earlier
ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.x

NOTE: McAfee Agent was rebranded to Trellix Agent in version 5.7.7.

Problem

A decimal is added incorrectly, or is missing in version numbers. This issue is observed when version numbers are combined in Point Product property data.

NOTE: In rare circumstances, Point Product build versions show blank data.

When you upgrade to MA 5.7.6 or upgrade from MA 5.7.6 with a version number issue to TA 5.7.7, the product property values display as below:

For example:

Policy Auditor reports the version as 6.5.3167 instead of 6.5.3.167.
Application and Change Control reports the version as 8.3.4225 instead of 8.3.4.225.
Data Loss Prevention reports the version as 11.6.500172 instead of 11.6.500.172.
Client Proxy reports the version as 4.3.11 instead of 4.3.1.1.

NOTE: This issue isn't limited to the above examples.

Cause

Point Product property data uploaded to ePO is incorrect.

Solution

This issue is resolved in Trellix Agent 5.7.7, which is available from either the ePO Software Manager or the Product Downloads site.

NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number to access the update.

TA 5.7.7 doesn't affect or refresh the data already sent to and stored in the ePO server.

Installation or upgrade of TA 5.7.7 helps avoid the reoccurrence of the incorrect properties issue.

Once the TA 5.7.7 is installed, a wakeup call with the option "Force complete policy and task update" is required to refresh the values in ePO to show the correct product build number.
