Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 32-bit
If you're running the 32-bit version of Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can resolve the issue by downloading the attached
mcafee_dlp_plugin.zip file.
- Close any open sessions of Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- Go to C:\Program Files\McAfee\DLP\Agent\Tools\, and run hdlpDiag.exe.
The DLPE Diagnostic Tool Authentication window displays the identification code.
To obtain the validation code:
- Log on to the ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) console.
- Click Menu, DLP Help Desk.
- Enter the validation code obtained from the DLP Help Desk page in the DLPE Diagnostic Tool Authentication window.
- When the HDLP Diagnostic Tool opens, open the Tools tab.
- Click Stop under the Access Protection section.
- Delete the first mcafee_dlp_plugin.api file:
- Go to C:\Program Files\McAfee\DLP\Agent\x86\
- Delete mcafee_dlp_plugin.api.
- Replace the above deleted file from within the attached mcafee_dlp_plugin.zip file.
- Delete the second mcafee_dlp_plugin.api file:
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins.
- Delete the mcafee_dlp_plugin.api file.
- Replace the deleted file with the attached mcafee_dlp_plugin.zip file.
NOTE: This fix is included in the
DLP 11.6.500 software release.
