Disaster Recovery fails because the passphrase contains illegal characters

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10

Problem

A Disaster Restore shows as successful, but it only installs the Event Parser service and not the following:

ePolicy Orchestrator Application Server (often referenced as Tomcat service)
ePolicy Orchestrator Server (often referenced as the Apache service)

The EPO5100-Install-MSI.log file records the following error:

(UNKNOWN) 1: 2021/02/25 00:39:16 MerModCALog: FAILURE: Property [************DWORD_UE] does not have a global variable assigned to it to store the value

Cause

The passphrase used for the Disaster Recovery contains the following character string:

;/.

The Java code does not recognize the string as a regular expression.

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePO 5.10.0 Update 11, which is available from either the Software Catalog or the Product Downloads site.
