DE installs a credential provider that's used for the following purposes:
- Password synchronization
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- A reboot option to restart the system when the system sees a defined number of failed logon attempts at Windows
With any of the above options enabled in the DE policy, the DE providers are active at various times. With DE 7.3, changes to the credential provider configuration have been found to cause a hang when making an RDP connection of about six minutes.
We've investigated the issue and determined that changes need to be made to the new credential provider components.
