Drive Encryption (DE) 7.3.0 ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10 Update 1–11 Problem
An expected message doesn't display when you check DE 7.3.0 into the ePO Master Repository. With previous releases of DE, a message displays when an existing version of DE exists in the same branch. The warning is expected to inform the administrator that DE 7.3 is overwriting an earlier version of DE. Location of missing message: CauseWith DE 7.3.0, improvements are being made to the mechanism to remove earlier versions stored in the Master Repository branch.
The improvement requires a change in the ePO modules for the related user interface. Until the above changes are available in ePO, the user interface warning message can’t display.
Solution
This issue is cosmetic, and there’s no impact on the functionality of DE. The previous DE version is removed from the master repository. The missing warning message requires ePO changes to be implemented. This issue is resolved in ePO 5.10.0 Update 13, which is available from either the Software Catalog or the Product Downloads site. NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number to access the update. To view all resolved issues, see KB90382 - ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.x Known Issues.
