Hundreds of folders with sitestat.exe are created under the Windows\temp folder

Environment

McAfee Agent (MA) 5.7.0 - 5.7.3

Problem

After every McAfee Agent update, multiple folders and files remain in the Windows\temp folder. Some of folders might contain sitestat.exe, but many are blank. The folders are created when the system tries to connect to a repository.

The McAfee Agent fails to remove these temporary folders. This issue can be seen whether a valid repository is found or not.

Solution

This issue is resolved in McAfee Agent 5.7.4, which is available from either the ePO Software Manager or the Product Downloads site.
