MNE Service failed to load Crypto Library (Installation fails)

Environment

Management of Native Encryption (MNE) 5.2.0 (on-premises)
MNE 5.2.0 for MVISION ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)

Problem

Installation of MNE fails when deployed on some Windows 10 systems.

BitLocker isn't activated.

The error below is recorded in the MNE MSI install log:

Error 1920. Service 'McAfee Management of Native Encryption Service' (McAfee Management of Native Encryption Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.

The error below is recorded in the Windows Application Event Log:

Installation success or error status: 1603.

The error below is recorded in the MNEService log:

LpcPassphrase.Error: Failed to load the crypto library: 1114

Solution

The issue is resolved with MNE 5.2.0 Hotfix 1, which is available from the Product Downloads site and MVISION ePO.
