Mac systems connecting to VPN incorrectly report Private IP address

Environment

McAfee Agent (MA) 5.7.2, 5.7.1, 5..7.0

Problem

When you install McAfee Agent on a Mac computer that connects to VPN, it incorrectly shows the local private computer IP address to ePolicy Orchestrator.

It does not report the Virtual IP that has been assigned through the VPN adapter.

Example:

The Mac system is connected to VPN.
The assigned Virtual IP is 10.10.10.100, and the Private IP of the Mac is 192.168.2.50.
The Mac incorrectly reports to ePO the 192.x.x.x address.

None of the features below function because ePO is unable to reach the Mac system through the private IP address:

ePO wake up calls, and Run Client Task Now tasks.
Local DXL lookups and wakeup actions.

Solution

This issue is resolved in McAfee Agent 5.7.3. This version is available from either the ePO Software Manager or the Product Downloads site.
