Intermittent communication issue observed with SVMs and SVM Manager when Autoscale feature is enabled

Environment

Management for Optimized Virtual Environments (MOVE)
MOVE AntiVirus Multi-platform (MOVE AV Multi-platform) 4.x
Security Virtual Appliance (SVA)
Security Virtual Machine (SVM)
SVM Manager

Problem

After Autoscale SVM is enabled in the MOVE AV Multi-Platform policies, SVMs aren't able to communicate with the SVM Manager.

You see this issue intermittently.

Cause

Autoscale SVM host names aren't getting changed as expected.

Solution

To get the Autoscale SVMs to connect with the SVM Manager, change the Autoscale SVM's host name to use the VMname.

Examples:

VMname: 'SVMnew-1' And host name: 'SVMnew-1'
VMname: 'SVMnew-2' And host name: 'SVMnew-2'

To configure the Autoscale SVM:

Log on to your Autoscale SVM.
Rename the host name to the VM Name.

Example:

If your VM Name in VMware vCenter is 'Ram-SVM-11', your host name must be 'Ram-SVM-11', as shown below.

NOTE: Changing a host name requires a system reboot.
