Agent to server communication fails after installation of ePO 5.10 Update 8

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10 Update 8

Problem

Agent to server communication fails.

Server_server_name.log records several errors similar to the following:

I #04340 MOD_EPOREPO Copying file from master repository (D:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\EPOLIC~1\DB\Software\pkg) to agent handler repository cache (D:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\EPOLIC~1\DB\RepoCache\pkg)
E #04340 MOD_EPOREPO UriCacheManager.cpp(1150): Error copying file from master repository (D:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\EPOLIC~1\DB\Software\pkg) to agent handler repository cache (D:\Program Files (x86)\McAfee\EPOLIC~1\DB\RepoCache\pkg), system error 2
E #04340 MOD_EPOREPO UrlCacheObject.cpp(68): Failed to get URI cache object for /spipe/pkg, http status code = 404
I #04340 MOD_EPOREPO epo repository request processed, rc=404, session ID=1037, session time=0ms

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePO 5.10.0 Update 9, which is available from the Product Downloads site.

NOTE: You need a valid Grant Number to access the update.

IMPORTANT: If ePO 5.10 Update 9 (RTS) was installed first on the ePO server, reapply ePOI 5.10 Update 9 (GA) using the Repair option. Only the GA release contains the fix for this issue.

RTS = Release to Support Version
GA = General Availability version
