McAfee Agent (MA) 5.6.0 to 5.6.3 Problem
The Auto Update task in the Endpoint Security (ENS) console on the client, is unexpectedly removed. The problem is seen after you provision the McAfee Agent from the Unmanaged mode (standalone install), to Managed by ePO mode. NOTE: The missing default ENS product update task, is created as part of the ENS Threat Prevention standalone installation package. System Change
You changed McAfee Agent from Unmanaged mode to ePO Managed mode.
Cause
In Unmanaged mode, the During McAfee Agent provision to the Managed mode, maconfig first checks the (.db) files for corruption. Any (.db) files found corrupted or 0 KB, are assumed to be corrupted, and are deleted. New files are then created. Deletion of the (.db) files is why the existing Auto Update task is removed.
