Com algumas versões do SQL, é possível particionar o banco de dados. A opção basicamente divide o banco de dados em vários arquivos de data, o que pode melhorar o desempenho.
Se você instalar o ePO 5.10 em uma versão do SQL que ofereça suporte ao particionamento, o instalador do ePO particionará automaticamente o banco de dados de eventos em 12 arquivos separados. Cada arquivo representa um dos 12 meses a partir do ano. Você também pode particionar manualmente o banco de dados.
Nota: Podem ocorrer problemas se você tentar mover um banco de dados particionado para uma versão do SQL que não ofereça suporte ao particionamento. Todas as edições atuais do
SQL Enterprise oferecem suporte ao particionamento, mas algumas versões do SQL
Standard Edition não o fazem. Por exemplo, o SQL
2014 Standard e versões anteriores não oferecem suporte ao particionamento.

- Conversão de um banco de dados não particionado em um banco de dados particionado

não há suporte para a movimentação de um banco de dados do ePO particionado para uma versão do SQL que não ofereça suporte ao particionamento de tabelas. Por exemplo, se você estiver usando o ePO 5.10 em um SQL
2012 Enterprise Edition, é provável que o banco de dados de eventos esteja particionado. Não é possível mover o banco de dados do ePO para um servidor SQL
2014 Standard Edition porque o SQL 2014 Standard não oferece suporte ao particionamento de tabela. A única solução é upgrade para um SQL Server usando uma versão que ofereça suporte ao particionamento de tabelas. Por exemplo, o
SQL 2016 SP1 Standard Edition e versões posteriores.
