Application and Change Control (ACC) 6.x Endpoint Security For Linux (ENSL) 10.6.6–10.6.7 Problem
Before 10.6.6, ENSL used file names with the prefix ACC Linux uses absolute paths for trust validation of binaries. The current version of ACC whitelists the pre-10.6.6 paths. With this change, the trust mechanism in ACC fails for 10.6.6. As a result, specific ACC configurations can result in a deadlock. Due to this incompatibility, ENSL 10.6.6 and later don't install or upgrade if ACC 6.4.0 or earlier is detected on the system. Solution
The new path names are included in ACC 6.4.1 for Linux and later versions, which cover older and newer ENS-L versions. Also, the installer compatibility issue has been resolved in ENSL 10.6.7. The installation now happens by default without any flags on top of ACC 6.4.1 or later. Workaround
If you don't want to upgrade Application Control, you can run the ENSL 10.6.7 Installer with the switch Add the following items in the /opt/McAfee/ens/tp/bin/mfetpd /opt/McAfee/ens/tp/bin/mfetpcli /opt/McAfee/ens/esp/bin/mfeespd /opt/McAfee/ens/fw/bin/mfefwd /opt/McAfee/ens/fw/bin/mfefwcli Affected ProductsLanguages:This article is available in the following languages: |
