When modifying tasks for Single System, ePO navigates to the Assigned Client Task page instead of back to the System Tree

Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.0, 5.10 Updates 1–6, 5.9.x

Problem

You see the following when you modify a task for a single system:

The user starts out in the System Tree page within the ePO console and clicks Action, Agent, Modify tasks on a single system.
As expected, the user arrives at a page that lists all tasks assigned for the given system.
The Assigned Client task page unexpectedly displays when the user edits a task on the page and clicks Save or Cancel.

The user expects to end up back at the page where the action originated from, which is the System Tree page.

Cause

This behavior is expected with the current releases, but it's not optimal behavior for the action being performed.

When a user is directed to the Client Tasks page for the entire group, it can cause confusion. The user might think that they're assigning the task at the Group level rather than at the System level.

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.0 Update 7, which is available from the Product Downloads site.
