Environment

ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) 5.10.0, 5.10 Update 1–4

Problem

In ePO 5.10, users that are based on permission sets (as opposed to administrators) can't view Server Task Log entries that correspond with Run Client Task Now actions. This problem can occur even when the user is granted appropriate permissions and when you invoke the action personally.

The Run Client Task Now functions as normal, its operation is unimpeded, but you can't track the task status unless you switch to an administrator logon.

System Change

Installed or upgraded to ePO 5.10.0.

Solution

This issue is resolved in ePolicy Orchestrator 5.10.0 Update 5, which is available from the Product Downloads site.
